Choosing A Hospital System Guide

When you have the opportunity to choose where your longterm doctors (not emergency care) are located, you need to be careful to get them all in the right hospital system. This starts with choosing the hospital system you prefer and getting a primary care in that system. Follow the below steps to help guide you to the right hospital system for you:

1. Do they accept my insurance?

2.Do they have the rehab programs I need? At least outpatient clinics for your needed rehabs depending on your diagnosis

3. Do they have the specialists I need?

4. Are they located close enough for me to get home after an appointment? Sometimes this is not possible for all specialists, your rare disease may need a distant specialist who sees you once a year but if you need ongoing therapy, be sure you are within driving distance.
